This time there are four fun apps waiting for you that you really shouldn’t miss. Who doesn’t love a game of pinball? Or are you a fan of old-fashioned role-playing games? There’s something for everyone, so take a quick look at the best iPhone apps from week 36!
1. Zen Pinball Party
For the avid pinball player, Zen Pinball Party is this week’s perfect game. The pinball game is free to download for Apple Arcade subscribers and has (currently) twelve pinball machines that will keep you entertained for a while.
All cabinets have their own theme. And there are even pinball machines based on well-known animated films, such as Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon. Of course there are also a few classics from Williams. There are also tournaments where you compete against other players to get the highest score. Zen Pinball Party is a lot of fun, but it’s a shame it doesn’t take advantage of the haptic feedback in the iPhone at all.
2. Night in the Woods
In this game, you are Mae who returns to her hometown because she has dropped out of her education. Nearly all of her friends now have jobs in the town, and it’s hard for Mae to be back.
The Night in the Woods game looks like a cute and simple adventure at first glance. Appearances can be deceiving, because once you’ve dived a little deeper into the game, you’ll get to see the underlying (sometimes hard) core.
Night in the Woods has a sharp edge and takes an oversimplified look into the worries and anxieties of a group of young adults. It is a game that you want to keep playing, because every time you want to know what else is going on in the town of Possum Springs.
3.Final Fantasy IV
The Final Fantasy games have been popular for decades. The series is now at part fifteen and there is even a next part in the making. However, the earlier games are not inferior to the latest games, as is evident from this new release.
Final Fantasy IV first came out on the Super Nintendo. This version is based on that, but the game has received a small refresh. The ‘Pixel Remaster’ (that’s what the makers call this version) is similar to the old game in terms of story. That’s okay, even if you’ve played this ‘old’ part before. Final Fantasy IV remains a strong Japanese RPG, which you should definitely try if you know the series and like this genre.
4. Blonde
In Blon you play a small, blue… Well, blob who has to go after his brother. The world is not going well and Blon’s brother has also stolen all the leaves. It’s up to Blon to give chase through different, colorful levels.
The controls of Blon are nice and simple. The blue blob automatically moves to the right. If you tap the left side of the screen, you jump. Tap right and attack (when there is an enemy). The game looks simple, but quickly becomes quite spicy. Fortunately, you have a number of upgrades at your disposal, so you never get stuck. Blon is a fun game and the first part is free. Do you want to continue playing? Then the rest of the game costs 3.99 euros.
