Tip: This is how you correct errors in the payment overview of Apple Pay

Do you see an error in the payment overview of Apple Pay? Fortunately, you can easily adjust the store or location of the transaction, for example. This is how you adjust an Apple Pay problem on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Mac.

Report Apple Pay issue

The transaction overview of Apple Pay neatly states where and at what time you paid contactless. Usually this information is correct, but every now and then an error can creep in. is this the case? To report a problem with an Apple Pay payment:

  1. Open the Wallet app on your iPhone and tap the payment card you want to report a problem with;
  2. Then choose the wrong transaction and press ‘Report a problem’ at the bottom of the screen;
  3. Tap ‘Incorrect seller data’ and indicate which information is wrong;
  4. Correct the seller name, category or any other issue and hit ‘Done’ when you’re done.

The error has now been corrected and you should see the correct information in your payment overview. It is important to remember that the above steps are only intended to correct accidental errors. So you cannot get rejected or failed payments back in this way.

Report Apple Pay issue on iPad, Apple Watch and Mac

Do you want to report an Apple Pay issue on an iPad? First go to the Settings and choose ‘Wallet and Apple Pay’. Then tap the payment card you want to improve and follow the instructions above from step 2.

It is also possible to correct a payment problem with an Apple Watch. To do this, open the Watch app on your iPhone, tap ‘Wallet and Apple Pay’ in the ‘My Watch’ tab and open the payment card that you want to improve. Then go to ‘Transactions’ and follow the instructions above from step 2.

Finally, you can also report an Apple Pay issue on a Mac with Touch ID. To do this, go to System Preferences. click on ‘Wallet and Apple Pay’ and open the payment card for which you want to correct a transaction. Select ‘Transactions’ and follow the instructions above from step 2.
