Tip: This is how you make a QuickTake video with your iPhone 11 (Pro)

With the iPhone 11 series it is possible to record a so-called QuickTake video in photo mode. Curious how you do that? We show it.

QuickTake Video

The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have some brand new camera features. One of these is making QuickTake videos. With this function you record a video in photo mode. Sometimes you take a photo, but suddenly a situation arises that requires a video.

Then you have the option to immediately start filming in QuickTake video mode. The recording is then locked, so that you can also take photos while filming or easily zoom in and out. This way you don’t have to hold down the button and you don’t have to switch between photo and video mode. This is how you use it:

  1. Go to the Camera app on your iPhone 11 (Pro);
  2. Long press the shutter button in photo mode. You now start filming;
  3. Swipe the shutter button to the right to lock the record button;
  4. A smaller shutter button appears next to the record button. Tap to take a photo;
  5. Tap the record button to end recording.

The QuickTake video will then appear in the Photos app. The snapshots you have taken during the video will also be placed in the Photos app. The app automatically improves your composition. A blue ‘Car’ badge will then appear in the top right corner.
