The Apple Watch is already packed with apps that are not equally useful for everyone. To have a tidy watch, you can delete such default apps in watchOS 6.
Remove default apps from your Apple Watch
Apple wants to make the Apple Watch as complete as possible smart watch and has therefore installed all kinds of apps by default. But that doesn’t mean you use them all.
If apps like Breathing, Alarm, Walkie-Talkie or Stocks are unnecessary on your wrist, you can remove them from now on. This way you ensure that you do not search between a long list of apps that you never open a part of. Deleting such a default app is just as easy as on your iPhone.
- On your Apple Watch, tap the Digital Crown to go to the app overview;
- Press and hold an app until the icons start to wobble;
- Go to the default app you want to remove;
- Tap the cross above it and confirm by tapping ‘Delete app’;
Do you want to reinstall an app that you deleted at a later time? You can. Because in watchOS 6 the Watch has its own App Store, you can reinstall default apps deleted from your watch.
In addition to this Watch App Store, the update has many more useful features in store. There is a decibel meter that protects your hearing and you get more insight into your movement thanks to Activity Trends. Check out our watchOS 6 preview or watch the video below to discover the main features.
