Tip: this is how you set a favorite song as a ringtone on the iPhone

Everyone used to have it: their favorite song as a ringtone. But this is still possible on the latest iPhones. In this article, we will show you how to set your own ringtone on the iPhone.

Tip: This way you can set your own ringtone on your iPhone

Most iPhone users have set a default ringtone. But did you know that you can also set your own ringtone as a ringtone? This is very easy via the iTunes Store. You only have to pay a few euros for it, but it is of course a lot more fun than an iOS ringtone. That is how it works:

  1. Open the iTunes Store app;

  2. In the tab ‘Tones’ you search for a ringtone that you want to buy;

  3. Tap the price and choose ‘Set as default ringtone’ to set the ringtone immediately;

  4. If necessary, enter your Apple ID information to complete your purchase.

As soon as you have made the payment, your new ringtone is set. Have you already purchased (some) ringtones from the iTunes Store? Then you can also download it in your settings as a ringtone. To do this, follow the next steps:

  1. Open the Settings app;
  2. Tap ‘Hear and Feel’;
  3. Then choose ‘Ringtone’;
  4. Tap ‘Download all purchased tones’.

Don’t have any purchased tones? Then you may not see this option, or it may disappear as soon as you tap it. Then tap ‘Tone Store’ to purchase a ringtone from the iTunes Store.
