Top fit and always 100%: this is how you keep the battery of your iPhone perfectly healthy

Your iPhone’s battery capacity decreases the longer you use it, but there are many things you can do to extend your battery’s life as much as possible.

Tiktokker Shoandtech has found a solution to this. His two-year-old iPhone 12 Pro still has 100 percent of its original battery capacity. According to the TikTokker, this is due to the way he charges his iPhone.

Charging iPhone overnight?

According to Shoandtech, it is not wise to charge your phone at night. The TikTokker has both an iPhone 13 Pro and an iPhone 12 Pro that still have a battery capacity of 100 percent. According to him, this is because he does not put his phone on the charger at night.

Shoandtech advises iPhone users to charge the device when you (almost) need it. If you still have 40 percent battery left, it is better to leave the phone, he says. Instead, you better charge your iPhone during the day.

Doubtful

This probably won’t work for everyone, because you can’t always have a charger ready when you go out during the day. Even if you have a long day ahead of you, you may prefer to leave the house with a full battery.

There are a lot of contradictory sounds when it comes to charging phones. Not everyone agrees with Shoandtech’s claim either.

Is it correct?

Apple uses a special charging method, in which the iPhone learns when you need your device. The battery is then charged to a certain percentage and only brought to one hundred percent when you really need it.

It is possible that this will still affect the battery life a little, but that is so little that it is not really worth worrying about it. But fair is fair: a battery capacity of 100 percent after two years of use is admirable. And Shoandtech has really achieved that with its method.
