Top version Hyundai Kona Electric much cheaper

Just before the facelift version appears in the Netherlands, Hyundai has made some changes to the price list of the existing Kona Electric. The biggest news: the packed top version has become a bit cheaper.

The news is therefore not big, but Hyundai does not publicize it. On the most recent price list of the Kona Electric, it is striking that the top version has a different name than before. The loaded version of the electric Kona is no longer called ‘Premium’, but ‘Limited’.

More importantly, prices have been adjusted downwards. Where a Kona Electric with the 64 kWh battery package as Premium Sky was previously known for € 49,595, its successor Limited Sky costs € 46,275. The ‘Sky’ also refers to the sliding roof. Those who do not have to, can get into a regular Limited for € 45,075 and enjoy a similar benefit. As before, the version with less power and a smaller battery of 39 kWh cannot be combined with the highest equipment level.

The equipment does not change with the name and price change. This means that the Limited is also equipped with LED lighting all around, artificial leather upholstery, electrically adjustable, heated and even ventilated front seats, rear seat heating, steering wheel heating, all kinds of driver aids, keyless entry, a thick Krell audio system and a head-up display. So completely packed, as we are used to from the Koreans.

The downside is that you actually immediately drive an outdated model, because the facelifted Kona Electric has already been announced. The revised version offers a modernized body and an adapted interior, but the technology does not change. The renewed Kona Electric is not expected to arrive at dealers until the summer and prices are not yet known.
