The Toyota Yaris Cross is already available in many versions and now comes a new sporty taste. From now on, the Toyota Yaris Cross is also available as GR Sport.
Anyone who goes shopping for a compact crossover at Toyota will soon arrive at the Yaris Cross. The Toyota Yaris Cross is available with a 125 hp 1.5 and with a 116 hp hybrid powertrain where the petrol engine is also a 1.5. Depending on the chosen engine version, the Yaris Cross falls out of the box as Comfort, Active, Dynamic, Explore, Executive and Adventure. Toyota now adds the GR Sport to that lineup.
The GR Sport, as its name implies, is the version that gives the Yaris Cross a more dynamic appearance, although it is of course not a very hard GR model. You may already know the GR Sport version from other Toyota models. The Yaris, Corolla, C-HR and even Hilux are already available as GR Sport. The Toyota Yaris Cross GR Sport can be recognized from the outside by its 18-inch ten-spoke light-alloy wheels, a rear bumper with diffuser, a sportier-looking grille with GR badges and the Dynamic Gray paint available especially for this version.
Inside the Toyota Yaris Cross GR Sport you will find sport seats with gray upholstery and red stitching. You will also find red stitching on the steering wheel and at the transmission lever. The headrests are decorated with GR logos, but that is of course not the only place where you encounter them. You can also find them at the start button, in the instrument panel and on the steering wheel. If you dig deeper, you can get special sports seats with perforated ‘Ultrasuede’. Among other things, the door panels are covered with gray panels.
Will it stay with purely optical decoration? Not quite. Toyota also gives the Yaris GR Sport a more tightly tuned chassis and a more direct steering system. Standard equipment also includes two-zone climate control, heated seats in the front, a 9-inch multimedia screen and privacy glass in the rear. The Yaris GR Sport is only available with the hybrid powertrain. We do not yet have a Dutch price.
