Triumph has issued a recall for the Speed Triple 1200 RR and Speed Triple 1200 RS. The radiator cooling fan can potentially overheat, causing the fan’s electric motor to fail, which in turn can result in a leak or spray of hot coolant.

At the end of June 2022, Triumph’s warranty department saw an increase in warranty claims for cooling issues on the Speed Triple 1200 RR and Speed Triple 1200 RS and launched an investigation.
That investigation taught Triumph that with high outside temperatures and slow-moving traffic, the radiator cooling fan could overheat, causing the fan’s electric motor to shut down and a warning icon to illuminate in the TFT display.
Ignoring this message could result in leakage or spray of hot coolant, with the risk of injury.
To protect the fan against extremely high temperatures, Triumph has now developed a heat shield, which will of course be fitted free of charge at the Triumph dealer. As soon as new production is started, the new models will already be equipped with the new heat shield as standard.
