On Windows 11, it is possible to delay automatic updates for up to five weeks. However, it sometimes happens that the option in the menu is displayed in a kind of gray scale; therefore delaying is impossible. Fortunately that can be solved.
If you have a work computer that does not allow updates to be postponed, then you will lose out. If you come across this on your own PC, you can certainly solve it. We use the Registry Editor tool for this. With that, you can view the Windows Registry and adjust things accordingly.
This allows you to change or remove many things, so be aware of what you’re doing. A wrong adjustment may force you to go back to a restore point. If you still want to try it, then proceed as follows.

Customize Windows Update Policy
