New infotainment and new active safety systems
Toyota RAV4
Toyota is giving the RAV4 a series of upgrades for model year 2023. With a new multimedia system, a large digital instrumentation and new functions for the Toyota Safety Sense systems, the popular Toyota SUV is ready for 2023.
From model year 2023, all Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid versions of the Toyota RAV4 will feature the range of improvements and upgrades that make the car even easier to use.
New multimedia system
The updated RAV4 uses Toyota’s latest multimedia system with a new 10.5-inch high-resolution screen. Smartphone integration is also standard, with Android Auto® and Apple CarPlay. Communicating with the car is easier than ever. By saying ‘Hey Toyota’ followed by a request, the system will respond. For example, after the sentence ‘I’m hot’, the car closes the windows and lowers the temperature of the climate control.
Instrumentation
In the new RAV4, the driver can see even more information at a glance on the new instrumentation. From model year 2023, every RAV4 Hybrid and RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid from equipment level ‘Dynamic’ will receive a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation. The driver can choose from four styles and three layouts and there are also the necessary personalization options, so that they can choose exactly what information is shown.
Toyota Safety Sense
In terms of active safety, the new RAV4 goes one step further. The suite of Toyota Safety Sense features is expanded with a new version of Pre-Collision System (PCS) with intersection support. The new Emergency Steering Assist helps the driver avoid a pedestrian who has stepped on the road, while keeping the car under control and staying within the lane.
Production of the new RAV4 will start this fall. At the end of the year, the first copies are expected at the Dutch Toyota dealers.
