Upgraded electronics for 2023 Panigale V4

They had already completely renewed it for model year 2022, but that did not stop Ducati from updating the Panigale V4 for model year 2023. The good news for those who just bought a 2022: the updates can also be made to the 2022 model.

Upgraded electronics for 2023 Panigale V4

A series of electronic improvements that should make the bike even easier and more intuitive for riders of all levels, Ducati says is the result of the updates made to the Panigale V4 for model year 2023.

What are we talking about then? For starters, the 2023 Panigale V4 features new Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO 2 software, which features new gear-by-gear calibration at each of three selectable levels. The new strategy has been developed to optimize the degree of engine braking, depending on the pressure on the rear wheel.

In addition, Ducati has also developed a new strategy for the Ducati Quick Shift, which, according to the Italians, should improve upshifts with every degree of throttle opening. Previously, the injection was interrupted at half throttle, but now the ignition timing is adjusted. Shifting at part load should therefore now be much smoother.

To help keep your head cool, Ducati has also tweaked the cooling system’s fan software, making the engine overheating at the end of each session a thing of the past.

Finally, Ducati has also refined the Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and ride-by-wire strategy. The former has made the degree of lean traction control even more accurate, while the latter has improved the connection between the torque demanded and the torque delivered.

These updates are available for all 2023 Panigale V4, V4 S and V4 SP2 models, but will also be available to all owners of a 2022 Panigale V4 V4 S and V4 SP2, simply by attaching the engine to the monitor and updating the software.
