Volkswagen deletes 4Motion versions Tiguan Allspace

Volkswagen puts an end to the four-wheel drive versions of the Tiguan Allspace, the more spacious version of the regular Tiguan. All 4Motion versions will expire immediately.

Until now, both the Tiguan and the more than 22 centimeters longer Tiguan Allspace were available in various variants, including versions with 4Motion four-wheel drive. The Tiguan retains its four-wheel drive variants, but they have disappeared from the price list of the Tiguan Allspace immediately.

Cutting out the versions with 4Motion drive means that complete engine versions of the price list of the Tiguan Allspace also disappear. For example, the 180 hp and 220 hp strong flavors of the 2.0 TSI were only available in combination with four-wheel drive. The absolute top diesel also disappears from the delivery list: the 240 hp and twin turbo version of the 2.0 TDI. The possibility to order the 150 hp 2.0 TDI in combination with a 4Motion drive is also a thing of the past. As mentioned, the regular Tiguan retains its 4Motion flavors for the time being.

From inquiries with the Dutch importer it appears that Volkswagen is removing the versions with 4Motion drive from the price list of the Tiguan Allspace to “[…] to reduce the complexity of the offer. “Volkswagen says in our country only the engine versions where the most demand is for. In the case of the Tiguan Allspace, that is the 150 hp 1.5 TSI and the 150 hp 2.0 TDI, both always equipped with a DSG transmission with seven gears.
