Volkswagen Passat cheaper after model year update

The Volkswagen Passat facelifted last year enters the new model year with a sharpened price list and improved standard equipment.

In mid-last year, Volkswagen put price stickers on the facelifted Passat. We are now a year further and with that the moment has automatically arrived that Volkswagen heralds a new model year for the Passat. Among other things, the versions are being changed, while the equipment is going up and prices are falling slightly.

The Passat of the new model year is – just like the updated version introduced last year – only available with a DSG automatic. What is new is that every Passat now comes ex-factory with a fully digital instrument panel and a reversing camera. The basic version is now the Business, which is equipped with automatic air conditioning, LED headlights, a navigation system and Travel Assist in addition to the above two issues. With Travel Assist you can go semi-autonomously on the highway up to a speed of 210 km / h. Higher up the ladder is the R-Line Business +, which is optically decorated with the sportier-looking R-Line bumper package. 17-inch light alloy and matrix LED headlamps are also standard on this version. The plug-in hybrid GTE is only available as GTE Business.

The starting price of the Passat of the new model year is set at € 37,995. For that money you drive the Passat Limousine, which is designed as a Business, with a 150 hp 1.5 TSI under the hood. The Passat Variant costs € 40,525 in that configuration. Previously, the basic version of the Passat cost € 39,575 (Passat Limousine 1.5 TSI Comfort Business).
