The unveiling of the facelifted Volkswagen Polo is now really close. Volkswagen is showing a teaser picture of a headlight and promises that the car will be finally presented this week.
The sketch in question shows a headlight of the renewed Volkswagen Polo. It gets a small spur at the bottom, as the espionage images already showed. In addition, for some versions an LED strip in the grille is apparently in the offing, because the lower louvre clearly burns with it.
With both the spur and that strip, the Polo goes after the Golf, but keep in mind that the continuous LED bar, just like with that car and the ID3, is not available for every version. There is a good chance that the renewed Polo has standard LED headlights, but that will be less attractive for entry-level versions.
Wide taillights
The strip painted in body color above the grille should apparently remain. All in all, the Polo remains very recognizable at the front, but more changes at the rear. Spy images confirm that the car is getting wider tail lights, the middle part of which is mounted on the valve.

At the same time, the type name ‘Polo’ moves to the center of the lid and is executed in the font that we know from other, newer Volkswagens. Coincidentally, this morning the undersigned met a Polo driver who took a sneak peek at this (see photo), which should indeed be possible with the letters of the type names ‘Golf’ and ‘Passat’.
Those letters are indeed there, but the Polo also gets new rear lights
Volkswagen will unveil the renewed Polo on April 22, or next Thursday. Then we also know for sure what changes in the model from a technical point of view.
