XC90 gets strong, mild hybrid

Volvo 90 series 2022
Volvo’s top models S90, V90 and V90 Cross Country will be upgraded for model year 2022. In addition, new versions appear.
Volvo is now also tackling the 90 series. The S90, V90 and V90 Cross Country from model year 2022 can be ordered with the Android infotainment system and two new driver assistance systems as standard.
New finishes
More interesting are perhaps the new versions to be introduced. In the new model year, the ones we expect from the summer, the Volvo S90 and V90 will be available as Inscription Exclusive. Similar to the XC90 Inscription Exclusion, which will be available for longer, the sedan and station wagon are equipped with the most popular options and are offered at the special price of 69,995 euros.

Volvo 90 series 2022
The range of the XC90 is also being expanded. From now on you can order the SUV as a B6 AWD Mild Hybrid. This powertrain, already known from the V90 Cross Country, offers a solid power of 300 hp and 420 Nm of torque. Behind the SUV with All-Wheel Drive you can hang the almost unimaginable towing weight of 2,700 kg. The new version is available from 94,995 euros.
Upgrade 90 series
The first new driver assistance systems in the model year 2022 S90 and V90 (CC) is Ready to Drive Notification. It alerts the Volvo driver when the vehicle in front starts moving. The second is the self-contained emergency braking system Emergency Stop Assist. Just like the Volvo models that received an update last week, the so-called ‘ADAS’ assistance systems are basically ready for expansion with autonomous driving. The new Android multimedia system with Google functions is the same as that in the 40 series and the XC60.
The starting price of the renewed Volvo S90 is 57,495 euros. That of the V90 starts at 60,495 euros. The V90 Cross Country, with AWD as standard, is available from 74,995 euros.
