Volvo XC90 temporarily with thousands of euros discount

The absolute top version of the plug-in hybrid Volvo XC90 was until recently called Ultimate, but has now been renamed Ultra. This brings the name of that top version in line with that of other Volvos such as the electric EX90. Volvo is taking this opportunity to introduce a package called Edition Pack for the now Ultra top version. It costs €3,495, but brings extras worth almost €7,100 to the SUV.

The Edition Pack includes Visual Park Assist, complete with a 360-degree camera and a camera with fisheyelens peeking out. Normally this will cost you €555. The Volvo XC90 Ultra with Edition Pack also gets extra tinted glass for the rear doors and the tailgate, an option that costs €515 separately. But there’s more! The extensive Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 19 speakers is also part of the Edition Pack, which costs €3,110 as a separate option. In addition, you also get comfort seats covered with nappa leather, seats that are extensively electrically adjustable and, in addition to being heated, are also ventilated. A crystal shift knob? Of the party, the same applies to a two-tone leather-covered steering wheel, black headliner and wood inlay in the interior available in two colors. Normally you pay €2,195 for this. The Edition Pack is topped off with a massage function for the front seats. That bit of pampering would normally cost you €700. In short: you pay just under €3,500 extra, but get more than 7 grand worth of pampering.

Regardless of the chosen version, the Volvo XC90 has the T8 plug-in hybrid powertrain. It consists of a 310 hp 2.0 four-cylinder and a 145 hp electric motor. The system power: 455 hp. The 18.8 kWh battery gives the 2,200 kilo Volvo XC90 T8 an electric range of up to 73 kilometers. The Volvo XC90 T8 Ultra is available in Bright and Black. With Bright optics it is available from €101,695, the Dark version is temporarily €6,500 cheaper and is in the order books for €95,195. The XC90 T8 is available from €91,195, for that amount the SUV is available as Core – Bright.
