New features in watchOS 11

watchOS 11 was already revealed on Monday 10 June and is now finally available to everyone. It contains all kinds of fun functions and improvements. For example, you can now pause the activity rings on your Apple Watch and the translation app is available. We list the most important innovations for you.

Vitals

Your Apple Watch measures all kinds of health values during your sleep, such as your heart rate, breathing rate, wrist temperature, sleep duration and oxygen saturation. The new Vitals app then analyses this, so that you gain more insight into your health.

Training Load measures how your workouts affect your body over time. It shows you how workouts from the last 7 days strain your body compared to the last 28 days. Useful if you’re training for a competition, for example.

Pregnancy

After you report your pregnancy in the Health app, the Cycle Tracking app on your Apple Watch shows how far along you are in your pregnancy and lets you log common pregnancy symptoms.

Activity rings

The Activity rings on your Apple Watch help you move and exercise more. With watchOS 11, you can customize them more to your needs. From now on, you can pause your rings for a day, a week, a month or longer without it affecting your medal goals. Handy if you are injured, for example.
