Turn any TV into a smart internet device using the Google Chromecast. This way the TV can play almost anything.
Any TV smart
There is absolutely no need to purchase a smart TV. Any TV set can be smart by simply plugging in a Google Chromecast. The only condition is that the device has an HDMI port. All recent TVs (not older than ten years) have at least one.
Chromecast capabilities
The Google Chromecast is a small round device that connects to the TV via an HDMI cable. After that, a one-time connection to a WiFi network must be made. This can be done via computer, tablet or smartphone. After that, the Chromecast is ready to use. Send the programs from NPO Start and the films and series from Netflix to the TV. Or view the photos you have recently taken with your smartphone. It can all be done without hassle via the Chromecast. Read more about connecting and setting up the Chromecast here.
Chromecast restrictions
Google Chromecast supports a lot of applications for video or sound. For the time being these are: Disney+, Kodi, NPO Broadcast Missed, Netflix, Pathé Thuis, Plex, RTL Missed, SBS Missed, Spotify, Videoland and YouTube. But if you watch videos or listen to music in another way, for example via the browser, this is not possible on the TV screen via Chromecast. So first think about what you would like to use a Chromecast for, and whether it is supported.
