Dropbox allows people to store files on the web (in the cloud) and use them on different devices. Dropbox is a so-called cloud service. Unlike other major storage services, such as iCloud, OneDrive, and Google Drive, Dropbox isn’t strongly tied to any particular type of device.
Dropbox capabilities
Dropbox allows people to store, edit and share files online. You can also work on a document with someone else. Even if that person doesn’t have Dropbox. The storage service can handle all kinds of files, such as text documents, spreadsheets, music and photos. Some people use Dropbox as a backup tool. Various devices
Dropbox works in any case on all devices with an internet connection and an internet browser. The Dropbox.com website always gives users access to their files. But there is also program for the Windows computer, Mac computer, iPhone/iPad and for Android devices. People can therefore easily exchange their files between the different devices. For example, if a document is put on the internet in Dropbox, it can then also be viewed and edited via other connected devices, such as the smartphone.

Requirements: Dropbox account and internet
Dropbox users require an internet connection and an account with the storage service. This account is free. You can create an account after installing the program on your computer, tablet or smartphone or via the Dropbox website. Read more about this in the article ‘Create a Dropbox account’.
Storage area
Dropbox users get 2 GB of free storage by default. They can expand the storage space if they have a lot of photos, videos or other files.
