What was the first rocket on Mars?

Asker: Rose, 10 years old

Answer

Many spacecraft have already been sent to Mars, all unmanned.
The first spacecraft to actually land was the Russian “Mars 2” which landed in late 1971 but stopped sending signals almost immediately. This was also the case with “Mars 3”. In 1976 the American Viking 1 and Viking 2 landed, both of which remained active for a few years and sent numerous beautiful photos. Just surf “Viking JPL Mars”, and you will find those beautiful pictures that were actually taken on the surface of Mars. Both of course also carried out scientific measurements. Since then there have been other soft landings, the last one even with an automatic jeep.
