There will be an update for WhatsApp with a new function. Unfortunately, it is a function that nobody will probably use.
WhatsApp gets a new function (which nobody will use)
It is always nice when WhatsApp gets new functions, but then it must be functions that you will actually use. For example, WhatsApp has status updates with which you can share photos and videos that disappear after 24 hours, just like with Instagram.
This function has been in WhatsApp for some time, but not very many people use it. And Meta (the parent company of WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram, among others) is changing.

At the moment you can choose who you can see status when setting up a status message. You then have the choice of ‘my contacts’, ‘my contacts except’ and ‘only share with’. With the first option you share the update with all your WhatsApp contacts. With ‘My contacts except’ you can indicate who should not see the update. And with the last option you choose the people who can see your status.

Instagram also has the option ‘best friends’ to share a status update. WhatsApp goes according to Wabainfo Also add this function soon. Handy to know: Just like with Instagram, nobody else can see the list of friends who get your status update. They also do not know if they will be added or deleted to the list.
A new function for WhatsApp is always fun, but the status function is not used very much. Or that is because the function is quite hidden or that WhatsApp users simply do not find the function interesting.
It is not yet known when this new feature from WhatsApp will come to the app for iOS. At the moment this feature is still being developed. You probably have to wait a few more updates before you can get started with it yourself.
