Another update is available for WhatsApp! In this software version, WhatsApp is expanded with a new function. That’s how it works.

Just update! WhatsApp has rolled out a software version, which extends the messaging service with a new position. After installing the update, ‘Talk together’ is available in WhatsApp. This is a new feature, with which you can easily start an audio call with other users. The big advantage of ‘Talk together’ is that other users do not receive a call.
Instead, they see a single report, stating that you want to start a conversation. So it looks like a telephone conversation, but ‘talk together’ ensures that other devices do not receive a call that they have to accept or click away. That has several advantages, the audio on other devices is not paused and users can later participate in the speech call. We tell you where you will find the new function in WhatsApp.

Are you curious about the new function of WhatsApp? In that case you have to search carefully, because the feature has not received a new button. ‘Talk along’ is only available in group discussions with three or more members. The feature has not (yet) been added to private conversations. Make sure whatsapp has been updated to the latest version, which is version 25.16.4. You will find ‘Talk along’ as follows:
- Open ‘WhatsApp’ on your iPhone;
- Tap a group conversation with three or more members;
- Then wipe up and hold the screen;
- Wait a while until the circle is completely green;
- Then release the screen and start talking;
- Finally, press the Red Cross to end the conversation.
Have you ‘talking along’ in WhatsApp? In that case, other participants will receive a one -off report that you want to talk to them. A message appears in the group discussion to participate in the Speech Chat. Other group members can participate in this chat by tapping the message. The new function in WhatsApp makes it so easy to quickly consult with other contacts in a group, without starting a telephone conversation.
Please note, because the audio in the conversation is not stored. You can’t listen to the speech chat later. It is a live conversation, so make sure that other group members first participate before you start talking. Is there no one in the group available to use the new function in WhatsApp? In that case you can also record a speech recording, you do that by holding down the microphone above the keyboard. A speech recording can be listened to.

The new feature in WhatsApp is well hidden, because the messaging service has not introduced an extra button for ‘talking along’. Instead, activate a speech by wiping over the screen. So be careful in the new version of WhatsApp, because with one wipe over the screen you now start an audio call. It is not (yet) possible to eliminate ‘Talk’ in WhatsApp.
From now on you can use the new function in WhatsApp in group discussions with three or more people. It is still unclear whether ‘talks along’ will also come to private conversations later.
