It’s always a bit of a hassle to talk to a new person on WhatsApp. You must first add that person as a contact, then you have to tap the chat bubble in WhatsApp and then search for that contact. You can sometimes quickly go to someone’s WhatsApp within your contacts, but that does not always work. Now that gets better as WhatsApp improves the process of connecting with a new contact.
WhatsApp is a household name. We no longer text, we just WhatsApp. The app has over 2 billion monthly active users, so if you’re using WhatsApp, at least you’re not alone. Most of those 2 billion people are users of the regular app, but there are also a handful of people who are in WhatsApp’s beta program. Those people can now access WhatsApp’s new feature to chat with someone new.
In addition to the new voice messaging features, beta users will see: web info that you can start a new conversation in a different way. If you used to tap a phone number in messages, you were immediately referred to the calls so that you can start calling right away.

Talk to new contacts
Now that is no longer the case, because the app now also checks whether someone has WhatsApp and offers the option to call that person in WhatsApp (i.e. over the internet instead of the classic mobile phone line). In addition, it also gives the option to chat with someone immediately, if you do not want to call.
Would you like to try the new feature? Then you have to be part of the WhatsApp beta and you need beta build 2.22.8.11 to experience the new features for yourself.
