The popular chat app Whatsapp regularly releases new features. Now Whatsapp in the Android version wants to move the navigation bar from top to bottom.

Whatsapp regularly releases new features. For example, we recently reported in this article about the new functions of adding a caption to a document, sending up to 100 photos and videos at a time, creating longer group names and group descriptions, and video calling has been greatly improved. Now Whatsapp is testing a new navigation bar for Android users, WaBetaInfo recently discovered.

New navigation bar in WhatsApp
Whatsapp wants to make navigation easier with the new navigation bar. By moving the navigation bar down are the tabs chat, Communities, Status and To call to action easier to reach. This makes it easier to switch between these pages. Logically it is the first tab chat which is normally always ‘open’ and is Communities moved to second place.
Incidentally, the navigation bar in Whatsapp in iOS is already below, so not much will change for iPhone owners.
