New Apple products are expected in the spring, including a new iPhone SE and iPad Air. Apple is likely to present them at a special event. But when will the first Apple event of 2022 take place?
When will the first Apple event 2022?
It seems that Apple is also organizing a spring event this year. This was reported, among others, by the very knowledgable Apple insider Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. According to his sources, the first Apple event of 2022 will take place in March or April.
If we look at recent years, Apple organizes an event almost every spring. The year 2020 was an exception – probably because of the pandemic that had just begun.
- 2021: 20th of April (Spring Loaded): 24-inch iMac, iPad Pro, Apple TV 4K, AirTag
- 2020: none
- 2019: March 25 (It’s show time): Apple TV+, Apple News+, Apple Card, Apple Arcade
- 2018: 27 March : 6th generation iPad
- 2016: 21 March (Let us walk you in): iPhone SE (first generation), iPad Pro
Apple often makes the first product reveals of a year in March, but last year that was in mid-April. We think there is a good chance that Apple will not organize the event until April again this year. According to reliable analyst Ross Young, the iPhone SE 2022 will not be released until the second half of April or early May. With an event in March there is too much time between the moment of announcement and the release.

First Apple Products of 2022
The 2022 spring event will be an interesting one. In all likelihood, Apple will announce the new iPhone SE (third generation). It remains the same on the outside as its predecessor, but has a powerful A15 Bionic chip and 5G support.
We are also counting on a new iPad Air. Last year, Apple refreshed almost the entire iPad line-up, but the Air did not get an update. Now there are indications that an iPad Air with A15 chip and Center Stage is on the way.
Apple may also launch a new Mac mini, although we haven’t heard much about it lately. Unfortunately, we don’t seem to have to count on a new iMac Pro. A release in the spring was long predicted, but according to the latest rumors, it will not appear during the first Apple event in 2022.
