Why are my hands cold when I’m on the computer?

Every time I sit at the computer, after a while when I leave the computer my hand is very cold. How does this happen and are there any remedies for this?

Asker: Lennert, age 15

Answer

it is important that you check whether you have a good posture at your computer, because an incorrect posture (whether or not in combination with a disturbed blood flow for other reasons) can cause the tension in your arm muscles to rise (static load) so that the blood supply is prevented.

For more information about a correct posture on a PC, have a look at the following link: http://www.sobane.be/nl/werkruimte/pdf/fiches_wer.pdf
