Why do we live if we die anyway?

Asker: Simon, 11 years old

Answer

Just because we’re dying doesn’t mean there has to be a reason why we’re alive. It’s also not because you’re alive that this only makes sense if you never die again. Imagine if you could always redo everything, that you don’t have to make any choice because you always have time to do it all over again, wouldn’t that be very annoying?
