Why should you not have any sexual contact before using a condom?

We received this information in sex education and I did not dare to ask this question.

Answer

The condom has two functions: contraception (against pregnancy) and protection against sexually transmitted diseases.

As soon as you have sexual contact (between the genitals), you run the risk of becoming infected with a sexually transmitted germ such as e.g. HIV (cause of AIDS), herpes, …
For that reason, it is recommended to put on the condom before having sexual intercourse.
