The most important improvement of the new Apple TV is not the box itself, but the remote control that comes with it. For gamers, however, the Siri Remote (2021) also has a serious disadvantage because it cannot handle all games.
New Siri Remote lacks support for Apple TV games
The new Apple TV remote control lacks two important sensors: an accelerometer and gyroscope. These were in the previous Siri Remote. Some Apple TV games use these sensors for control and therefore no longer work with the latest remote control, it has been discovered Digital Trends.
For example, while playing you can look around the digital world by turning the remote control slightly. The accelerometer ensures that you can fight enemies, for example, by swinging the Siri Remote.
Apple has not disclosed why the new remote does not have these sensors. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that tvOS has recently become compatible with Xbox and PlayStation controllers. So Apple seems to want to motivate gamers to use these joysticks instead of the Apple TV remote.
It is also rumored that they are working on their own controller. Many details are not yet known about this.

About the new Apple TV and Siri Remote
Last week, Apple announced the new Apple TV 4K. The media player has the same design as its predecessor, but has HDR and Dolby Vision video. The new media player also has more powerful hardware. It is therefore more suitable for playing games.
