There are many misunderstandings when it comes to the iPhone and iOS, the operating system. For example, there are people who close applications immediately after use, or after a certain period of time, to save battery. Well thought out, but unfortunately not correct.
Closing applications on your iPhone does not help the battery. In fact, it doesn’t last as long as if you just leave them open. Why? We’ll explain that to you!
Don’t close apps on your iPhone
Closing applications on your iPhone every so often: it’s something I used to do myself. The thinking behind it is actually quite good. Many iOS users think that closing apps reduces the activity on your iPhone. The result is a battery that lasts longer than if you didn’t. Or so is commonly thought.
In practice, however, it ensures that your battery is put under a heavier load. As soon as you go to the home screen of your iPhone or other app from an application, the device pauses it, as it were. In this way, “open” apps have little or no influence on the battery life of your smartphone. That is only an issue again when you use them.

When you do, your iPhone picks up the app where you left it. It therefore costs little to no energy to start it up. If you have completely closed the application, it will have to be started again from the beginning and that simply costs more energy.
It will take some getting used to, but you no longer have to close the apps on your iPhone. Not for the battery, at least.
