Check out the coolest features in Windows 10 October Update.
Microsoft is in the process of deploying the October Update for Windows 10. On the program, the operating system of Redmond incorporates many improvements and refines some already existing functions.
This update also inaugurates particularly anticipated new features. A brief overview of the changes in this new version.
Your phone
The first major novelty of this October update, Windows 10 is launching the Your Phone application. With it, you can link your Android smartphone to your PC for easy access to the photos it contains, send text messages from Windows, or even send a web page viewed on Edge mobile to the PC.
For iPhone users, the app is much more restricted since it only allows you to send a web page open in Edge on iOS to the computer. However, new features should be included in the next Windows updates.

Dark Theme for File Explorer
Microsoft is following suit and is also moving to the dark theme in its apps. You have to go to Settings> Personalization, then select the Dark theme in the default application mode.

If the Redmond company already offered a dark theme in its applications, it did not apply in the file explorer.

Clipboard
The October update introduces a Clipboard module that will be of use to many users. Accessible from the Windows + V key combination, the Windows 10 clipboard can now display a complete history of its contents to help you easily find a copied item.

It is also possible to activate clipboard synchronization between multiple devices by going to Windows System Settings.

Capture and sketch
A new screenshot tool is also appearing. Capture and Sketch, that’s its name, is accessible from the Windows keyboard shortcut + Shift + S as well as from the Windows notification center.

The Capture and Sketch miniature module is then grafted to the top of the screen and allows you to select the type of capture to be made: rectangular selection, free form or full screen capture. The captured image is displayed in a thumbnail at the bottom of the screen, click on it to open it in the Edit and Annotation tool.

Note that it is possible to configure the Print screen key with Capture and sketch by going to Settings> Ease of use> keyboard by activating the module dedicated to the Print screen shortcut.

Swiftkey keyboard
Acquired by Microsoft in 2016, the Swiftkey alternative keyboard can now be used if you have a machine with a touchscreen. Well known to Android and iOS users, Swiftkey allows you to quickly enter text by sliding your finger across the keys on the keyboard to compose a word.
