The new update of Windows 10 brings a lot of new functions. We guide you step by step to use the five most practical …
Among the novelties offered by the new major update of Windows 10, we discover, among other things, an improved Internet Edge browser and Paint 3D, a program for easily designing 3D scenes. The operating system also has new functions to make your life easier. Here are the five most interesting.
Grouping tiles
Want to tidy up the Start menu? It is now possible to group the tiles. Click on the Start menu to display them. Then click on one of the tiles and, keeping the mouse button pressed, move it to another tile. This automatically creates a group with the two tiles you just grouped together in thumbnails. It is then possible to move other tiles in the group by the same process.

To ungroup the tiles, click on the group to display all the tiles it contains. Then click on the tile that interests you and drag and drop to another location to release it.
Game Mode
Windows 10 improves the display of games by giving them more resources. To do this, simply activate Game Mode. Click on the Start menu button, then on the gear icon to display the Windows settings. Then click on the games icon with the Xbox logo.

In the list on the left, click Game Mode.

Then just flip the switch Use game mode on Enabled.
Dynamic locking
Windows 10 offers an original function that automatically locks the computer as soon as you are away. To do this, the system monitors the Bluetooth connection with a mobile device, for example your smartphone. Locking occurs as soon as the link is broken for more than 30 seconds. To benefit from this function, you must first establish the Bluetooth connection between the two devices. To do this, click in the settings on the icon Peripheral devices, then on Add a Bluetooth device or other device.

In the list that appears, click on your smartphone and confirm in Windows the validation code that is displayed on its screen. The Bluetooth connection is established.
Then click on the icon of Accounts in the Windows settings, then on the Connection options in the list on the left.

Just check the box Dynamic Lock for the function to be activated.
The mini video player
If you want to watch a video and keep doing something else, Windows 10 has a handy mini video player. To use it, you must first update the application Movies and TV. Type Windows Store in the search bar near the Start menu, then Movies & TV in the app store. Then click on the button Update. Launch your video with the Movies & TV app and click the button mini player mode.

The app then turns into a small window that always stays in the foreground. It is then possible to move it, or even to change its size.
Night mode
If you often use your computer before falling asleep, it is possible to limit the emission of blue light, which is harmful to sleep. To activate this night lighting, go to the Settings and click on the icon System. Then, in the section Display, flip the switch Night lighting on Enabled.

Click just below on Night light settings.

You can then modify parameters such as the color temperature and the times when the function is activated (from 8:38 p.m. to 7:06 a.m. by default).
