Windows 12 possible in 2024

It is the time of year when Microsoft is busy with new versions and updates for Windows. For example, Microsoft normally releases new Windows versions every few years in the fall, although Windows 10 was an exception with its launch in July 2015. It has now been two years since Windows 11 was released (in October). Microsoft is also not standing still when it comes to updates, but there is a lot of confusion. For example, Microsoft must release the major Windows 23H2 update this fall, but it is still unknown when. Windows 12
It once seemed that Windows 10 would be the last Windows version with all kinds of updates, but Windows 11 has been available since October 2021 and we know better. Intel CFO David Zinsner recently spoke positively about a Windows renewal and indicated that next year could be promising for Intel’s CPUs thanks to a new release of Windows.

In addition, there are more indications for the introduction of the new operating system in 2024. For example, the first leak about this appeared at the beginning of this year via X (formerly Twitter) by the hardware leaker @leaf_hobby. He is able to reveal the full specs of Intel’s Xeon chips before launch; and he published details about Intel’s Meteor Lake CPUs, which reportedly support Windows 12.

Windows 10 and 11
For the time being, Windows users will be able to use Windows 10 and 11 for years to come. For example, Microsoft has indicated that it will continue to provide Windows 10 with security updates until October 2025, while that will be even longer for Windows 11.
