Yamaha extends collaboration with Riders for Health

Riders for Health has been changing health care in the African countryside for more than 30 years by offering reliable transport to health workers.

The organization is active in The Gambia, Lesotho, Malawi and Nigeria and resting health workers with sustainable motorcycles, so that they can navigate and reach remote communities over difficult terrain.

This initiative ensures that essential health services, such as vaccinations, treatment of diseases and maternity care, are accessible to those they need the most.

Yamaha AG Motorcycles play an essential role in delivering essential things such as mosquito nets to prevent malaria and supporting immunization clinics throughout Africa.

Since the start of this collaboration in 2022, Yamaha has recruited funds every year for the purchase of extra AG units for the Gambia program of Riders for Health. Until 2024, Yamaha donated another 48 new AG100 units from its own resources to support the project in Gambia.

In addition, to give more familiarity to the organization, Riders for Health made the Ténéré Yamaha Rally Team, to promote charity.

Through this partnership, Yamaha also supplies Memorabilia to Two Wheels for Life, the fundraising branch of Riders for Health, which is used in the United Kingdom, which are used in price stretching to raise money for the organization. So far, more than € 62,000 has been collected with these fundraising activities.

The agreement is intended to continue Yamaha’s support to Riders for Health so that they can continue to do their important work:
– by helping with the replacement and maintenance of their fleet Yamaha AG motorcycles, also in other regions where Riders for Health is active;
– by working closely with Two Wheels for Life to raise funds;
– By giving more awareness of the project, by promoting both internal and external communication campaigns in favor of Riders for Health;
– by continuing to donate AG units from their own resources.
