If you want to treat yourself to a nice bike for the track and are a fan of Toprak Razgatlioglu, then we have a tip for you. Yamaha Motor Europe and Cresent Yamaha have put their heads together, resulting in this Limited Edition Toprak Razgatlıoglu Yamaha R1 World Championship Replica.
Yamaha’s newest track-only exclusive racer is limited to 21 units worldwide, reflecting the historic 2021 season – a celebration of the Turkish rider’s first world title, along with Yamaha’s first WorldSBK Constructors’ Championship since 2009 and the Team title for Pata Yamaha with Brixx WorldSBK team.
Each of these exclusive Yamaha R1 machines will be built at the Crescent Racing PRO SHOP, using the experience and skills accumulated over the past six years during the official Yamaha WorldSBK project.
That experience, according to Yamaha, must have resulted in the ultimate “track-ready” WorldSBK replica R1. The heavily tuned R1 is specified for peak rear-wheel power of 205 horsepower (an increase of 20 horsepower over the standard R1) with linear torque delivery via the WorldSBK-spec Akrapovic exhaust and the latest GYTR racing ECU.
In addition to the fact that it has considerably more power, it also saves quite a bit of weight. Yamaha claims a weight of less than 175kg (including all fluids – a massive 26kg reduction over the stock bike).
The handling of the R1 has been taken to the next level due to the weight savings on the one hand and the addition of the Öhlins suspension, factory-spec triple clamp and forged Marchesini wheels. And while no one can brake Razgatlıoğlu, the Brembo Racing system on this exclusive R1 guarantees full power, fade-free deceleration on any track.
In addition to technical updates and Toprak livery, all Toprak Replica Limited Edition R1s come with a uniquely numbered plaque, framed certificate signed by Toprak and Team Principal Paul Denning, VIP passes for 2 people to a 2022 World Superbike World Championship event of your choice – including pit box visit and meet-and-greet with Toprak, a personal bike tune-up with one day circuit training in the UK and a signed piece of clothing Toprak has ridden over the past season.
Price tag? £33,000 plus VAT. Costs a few cents, but then you have a cool track bike.
