The Dutch company Derks Uitvaartmobiliteit has converted the Tesla Model 3 into a hearse and the first units have recently been used in the Netherlands. The Nissan Leaf has also been transformed into a hearse.

If you also want to make your very last trip fully electric, this is now also possible in a Tesla Model 3 converted into a mourning car or a Nissan Leaf. Derks Uitvaartmobiliteit from Uden has already converted several Tesla’s Model 3 Standard Range Plus especially for this purpose. It looks special, especially with the rear doors that now provide access to a luggage compartment. You can store flower wreaths there, for example, or the trolley on which the coffin can be placed. It is usually not very cozy in the back of this converted Model 3, although a ceiling with a real ‘starry sky’ in it provides a nice touch.

As an alternative to the Model 3, Derks also offers a converted Nissan Leaf, which is called Indus Innové (last two photos). The Tesla Model 3 is renamed Tesla Hearse 3 by Derks and has recently been taken into use at a number of funeral and transport companies in the Netherlands. The 5.56 m long Model 3 has a range of between 350 and 375 km as a hearse, according to Derks, which should be enough. The 5.49 m long Leaf gets a little less far, but still a very usable 300 to 350 km.
