Like the Chrome browser, the YouTube app now has a private mode that lets you watch videos without leaving any traces. Here’s how to activate it.
Like many Google apps, YouTube remembers what you do. This is useful for finding videos that you have watched, but this feature can be harmful to your privacy. But you can now activate an incognito mode, which can also be handy to avoid spoiling your recommendations.
- In the YouTube app, tap on your account icon at the top of the screen and select Activate incognito mode from the drop-down list.

- The app tells you that you have switched to private browsing mode. All your video views will not be memorized. Activation of the mode is manifested by an icon at the top of the screen and by a display line.

- To exit the mode, click on their icon (hat and glasses) and select Disable incognito mode from the drop-down list.

YouTube then returns to its normal operating mode with memorization of requests.
