Zevo Aurora

You would almost wonder if there is still room for a mighty supercar with a truly insanely powerful powertrain with a watt of an internal combustion engine these days. The Danish Zenvo makes itself heard and answers that question with a big fat ‘Yes!’. This is the Zenvo Aurora, a 1,850 horsepower monster.

The Danish Zenvo does not look at a horsepower more or less, as long as there are a lot of them in total. The small supercar builder has never built a car under 1,000 horsepower and has no plans to ever change that. This Zenvo Aurora proves that, because it has almost double the horsepower on board. And those forces don’t just come from electric motors!

The Zenvo Aurora comes in two flavors – which AutoWeek was able to show you both at the beginning of this year – and the strongest variant of the winged extremist has a 1,250 hp 6.6 V12 with four turbos between the huge cylinder banks. That machine is supported by not one nor two, but three 200 hp electric motors each. Two of them are in the front wheels, one in the seven-speed transmission with electronic rear window. The system power: 1,850 hp and 1,700 Nm. crazy. But there’s more. This power is for the Aurora Tur, the ‘less than’ 1,450 kilograms visually least heavy version of the new Danish powerhouse. It hits 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds, 200 km/h in 9 seconds and 400 km/h in just 17 seconds. Its top speed: 450 km/h. Each horsepower only needs to put 0.85 kilos into motion… The interior of the Aurora Tur is striking. This is so strongly focused on optical indulgence that the whole is somewhat reminiscent of the way in which Pagani makes interiors.

The extra winged Aurora Agil is the stripped-down version with – yes – rear-wheel drive. It also has the 1,250 hp 6.6 V12, although this version is only supported by a single 200 hp electric motor. The system power is also downright bizarre with 1,450 hp and 1,400 Nm. With a car weight of ‘less than’ 1,300 kilos, each horsepower of the Aurora Agil only has to move 910 grams. Thanks to gigantic wingwork and active aerodynamics, the Aurora Agil has to be very hard to chase the corner. The spoiler work of this (even) more dynamic flavor generates no less than 880 kilos of downforce at a speed of 250 km/h. The Agil reaches 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, 200 km/h in 4.6 seconds and 300 km/h in just 10 seconds. Its top speed is also lower than that of the Tur at 365 km / h. According to the Danes, you can drive up to 35 kilometers electrically with both versions.

Zenvo will build 50 copies of the Aurora Tur and Aurora Agil each. The first cars should be ready in 2026. The carbon fiber Zenvo ZM1 doped monocoque around which the two are built will be used by more Zenvo models.
