OnePlus has indicated that they want to return the alert slider. This slider is missing from the recently announced OnePlus 10T and with this, this device lacks a characteristic aspect of OnePlus smartphones. However, the company indicates that the slider will not disappear, luckily but right?

For those who have never used a OnePlus smartphone (or iPhone), here is a brief overview of what an alert slider is. The alert slider is a slider on the side of a phone that allows you to quickly switch between silent, vibrate and mute. And yes, you can of course also do this in the ‘normal’ way, but the alert slider really works much faster and easier. In addition, you do not have to switch on the screen and you can, for example, also put your smartphone on silent from your pocket, a wonderful luxury that many OnePlus users are very happy with.
It is therefore these users who found it a pity that OnePlus has removed the slider from the OnePlus 10T and may have feared that OnePlus will say goodbye to the alert slider for good. However, the latter does not appear to be the case. According to Android Authority OnePlus has said that it will not say goodbye to the alert slider.
Only on Pro models and OPPO smartphones?
However, it is still the question on which phones OnePlus wants to integrate the alert slider again. According to the company, the slider takes up a lot of space inside and can therefore no longer be used on every phone.
It is therefore rumored that only the future Pro devices from the manufacturer will receive an alert slider. It is also rumored that OPPO and Realme smartphones will get an alert slider. This is not very remarkable since OPPO and Realme have the same parent company as OnePlus, BBK. In addition, OnePlus smartphones are starting to look more and more like OPPO phones.
