Also electric Peugeot e-308 SW on the way

Electric cars come in almost all shapes and sizes, but electric station wagons are still a rarity. Still, a bunch of electric pack mules are coming soon. What appears now? The Peugeot 308 SW will also get a fully electric version! In addition, it is known that sister brand Citroën will soon expand its delivery range with two new EVs.

In its presentation of its financial results, Stellantis also provides an insight into what we can expect from the group over the next two years. Of course, the eleven car brands of the giant company will come with a series of newcomers in 2022 and 2023, of which the electric Peugeot 308 SW is one!

The arrival of the Peugeot e-308 SW is of course no surprise in fact. Recently it was announced that Opel will not only come with an electric Astra Hatchback, but will also carry an electric Astra-e Sports Tourer. The Astra is a technical brother of the Peugeot 308, of which an electric hatchback variant has already been announced. In any case, the e-308 SW is more than welcome. For the time being, only MG will soon have a relatively affordable electric station wagon on the Dutch menu.

Citroen, Fiat and Jeep

The Stellantis model schedule also includes two new electric models from Citroën for 2022 and 2023. Would the C5 X get an electric version? In theory that is possible, because that car also relies on the further developed EMP2 technology that we know from the Astra and 308. The C5 X will in any case come with a plug-in hybrid variant. Fiat – which wants to be fully electric in Europe from 2027 – will also come up with a new electric model this year or next year, according to the future plans. The same applies to Jeep, although we already know which car it is for that brand. After all, Jeep comes with an electric version of the Wrangler.
