Audi Q6 e-tron already on display

The Shanghai exhibition floor was the stage on which Audi showed, among other things, the A6 e-tron Concept, a concrete preview of an electric Sportback that will be placed on the new modular PPE platform. There is more E-tron news. Audi has also brought an unnamed packed electric SUV.

The A6 e-tron Concept, which is currently attracting the necessary attention during the Shanghai Motor Show, serves as a preview of a new electric model that Audi will eventually carry alongside the A6. The A6 e-tron Concept also had a second function, the concept car introduced the new PPE platform. Premium Platform Electric (PPE) is the name of the new modular platform that you should actually see as a more advanced brother of the MEB platform for higher placed models. The A6 e-tron is not the first Audi car to feature on the PPE platform developed in collaboration with Porsche. That honor goes to the already announced Q6 e-tron that will be launched at the end of next year. It seems that Audi is already showing that car wrapped up.

This set of photos shows a new Audi SUV covered with e-tron sticker work. It can hardly be otherwise than that this is a concrete preview of the Q6 e-tron, the new electric SUV on the already mentioned PPE platform. The specifications of the A6 e-tron Concept undoubtedly also apply to the Q6 e-tron to a certain extent. Thanks to its new platform technology, the Q6 e-tron will soon be able to handle 800 volt charging structures, which will enable charging capacities of up to 270 kW, just like the future A6. The A6 e-tron Concept has two electric motors that together produce 476 hp and 800 Nm of torque. Its 100 kWh battery provides a range of up to 700 kilometers. You can also count on the arrival of such a powertrain for the Q6 e-tron, although it is also expected that the electric SUV will be available in milder flavors.

The Audi Q6 e-tron will be presented at the end of next year and will probably be on the market in early 2023. Audi will undoubtedly release the Q6 e-tron later this year.
