Dacia takes the Spring on sale and promises that this SUV will be the ‘most affordable electric car in Europe’. Consumer sales will start this month, followed by a commercial vehicle version.

On March 20, Dacia will start taking reservations for the all-new Dacia Spring. First and foremost, it concerns consumer purchase orders. They can look forward to the episode in the fall. Reservations are also accepted for the Business version, intended for the business lease and car sharing market. Next year, the Spring Cargo, without a second row of seats, will be launched, which is aimed at entrepreneurs and freelancers on the market for ‘last kilometer transport’ of goods.

Dacia still does not release prices. However, the budget brand maintains the promise that the Dacia Spring will become ‘the most affordable electric car in Europe’. Compared to both electric and fuel-powered cars, the brand pledges the ‘lowest Total Cost of Ownership’ on the market. The other Dacia market values are also the basis for the inexpensive electric SUV: robust and reliable. The model is therefore based on the Renault Kwid that has been driving around Asia for years.

Dacia also speaks of a spacious interior with the necessary storage compartments. However, we are talking here about a compact SUV, with a length of 3.73 meters. At first glance, the Spring looks a bit like the larger Dacia Duster, thanks to the roof rails, skid plates, the Y-shaped rear lights and the height above the asphalt. However, the Spring is more of a city car.

A Color Pack will appear at the launch. You can order the mirrors, roof rails, door handles and air intakes in orange or with orange accents. The Flexwheel system is also special: the steel wheels can be ‘covered’ with light metal. We have already given the technical specifications of the Spring.
