Opel Combo Tour becomes Combo Life

Opel is implementing a model year update on the passenger version of the Combo. The space giant, which until now was called Combo Tour, will be given a new and above all more logical name: Opel Combo Life.

The Opel Combo Tour is now called Combo Life, Techzle can report exclusively. Rüsselsheim in the Netherlands is implementing this name change on the model as part of a model year update. That needs some explanation, because Opel uses a name strategy that is not always easy to follow.

Opel recently decided that it no longer gives its crossovers and SUVs an X designation. The Grandland X still has it, but the successor to the Mokka X is simply called Mokka and the facelifted Crossland X goes through life as Crossland. Then we come to the personal versions of Opel’s orderers. In addition to the Vivaro Combi, the Vivaro delivery van is also available as a passenger van, but the brand also supplies the Zafira Life. That is a higher-quality finished and nicely decorated passenger version based on the Vivaro. Opel applies a similar naming strategy to the smaller Combo, although the higher-quality passenger version is again called Combo Tour. That is now changing. The Combo enters a new model year and Opel decides to call the passenger version Combo Life from now on. Outside the Dutch borders, this type was called that from the outset.

Opel improves the standard equipment of the now called Combo Life space miracle by adding, among other things, fog lamps and rear parking sensors. As before, the personal version of the Combo is available in two lengths. Besides a 4.4 meter long version, there is also a 4.75 meter long version. Both models are optionally available with a third row of seats, which turns the Combo Life into a seven-seater. Exact specifications and prices will follow soon.
