From 26,299 euros, electric Mokka-e from 35,399 euros
Opel Mokka
Opel presents the new Mokka. From now on there is also the fully electric version of Mokka-e. Below you will find the first prices and specifications.
At its headquarters in Rüsselsheim, Germany, Opel CEO Michael Lohscheller unveiled the new generation of Mokka yesterday. The German brand has proportioned the compact SUV better. Although this leads to a somewhat smaller car (4.15 meters long), the short overhangs and the slightly larger wheelbase still provide sufficient space inside: as before, the Mokka can accommodate five people and 350 liters of luggage. The car is 120 kg lighter than the first generation, but the body is stiffer.
Mokka-e: 322 km range
The newcomer is on the CMP platform of parent company PSA. This makes different drivelines possible. Such as that of the new electric version Mokka-e. The 100 kW electric motor (comparable to 136 hp), fed from a 50 kWh electric motor, provides a range of up to 322 km according to the WLTP test. Charging can be done at a regular socket, wallbox or fast charger with 1- to 3-phase charging options. Opel provides an 8-year (or 160,000 km) warranty on the battery pack.
Opel Mokka-e
The starting price of the ‘e’ is 35,399 euros, private leasing is possible from 465 euros per month. Thanks to the favorable rate for electric cars, business drivers only pay from 128 net addition per month. For the manual Mokka with 1.2 turbo petrol engine of 100 hp, prices start at 26,299 euros. The prices of the 130 hp petrol engine and 110 hp 1.5 liter diesel engine will follow as soon as the order books open. There will also be a sporty Mokka GS Line appear.
Changes to the exterior and interior
The Mokka is the first Opel to wear the new ‘Vizor’ family face. As with a full-face helmet, the Opel front is protected by a visor, which at the same time seamlessly integrates the radiator grille, LED lights and the new Opel logo.
The Opel Pure Panel, a digital cockpit with two ‘widescreens’, is also new. This does not provide an excess of data and possibilities. Opel has limited the system to essential data that is immediately accessible. The most important functions can also be operated simply with buttons. Following the Opel philosophy of making innovative technologies available to large groups of drivers, the new Mokka offers plenty of driver assistance and infotainment features. In addition, ergonomic chairs can be ordered.
