Philips Hue comes again with beautiful new lamps and app functions, such as the new Philips Hue ball lamp. Philips Hue E14 ball lamp
The Philips Hue E14 ball lamp is the smallest lamp of the brand and now also available in a White and Color Ambiance variant with which you can illuminate the smallest corner of your home with warm to cool white light and up to 16 million colors. This lamp is about the size of a golf ball and its size and shape fits even the smallest fixtures in your home. (article continues below the image)
Hue Aurelle ceiling lamp and Surimu ceiling lamp
With their new shapes and designs, the Philips Hue ceiling lamps fit even better into any interior. The Philips Hue Aurelle ceiling lamp is now also available in a premium black finish in different models. You can choose a round model, a rectangular or a square model. The floating design creates a feeling of space and fills the room with shades from warm to cool white light. The Philips Hue Surimu ceiling lamp is now also available in a round shape with a diameter of 395 mm and a new square shape that is half the size (300 x 300 mm) of the existing square Surimu. Philips Hue app with brightness balancer
Philips Hue is also introducing new and improved functions in the Hue app that allow you to manage your lighting even better. The brightness balancer allows you to adjust the brightness of individual lights in an entertainment zone instead of controlling the lights as a group. This new feature has been developed at the request of Philips Hue users to have better control over the lights while watching a movie, listening to music or playing a game. With the help of this new function you can decide for yourself which part of the room is put in the spotlight when you synchronize your lights with your TV, movie, game or music. In addition, the function ensures that lamps with different lumen values ​​can be dimmed at the same time. A lamp with a higher light output (lumen) can therefore be dimmed to the same level as a lamp with a lower lumen value. This feature will be available in Q3 and can be used in any Philips Hue Entertainment zone.
Philips Hue app with extra time slots
An update to the Philips Hue Bridge also extends the functionality of the Philips Hue motion sensors to help you do even more with it. Based on common feedback, the number of time slots for the motion sensors to activate the desired lighting will increase from the current two to ten. Whether you choose energetic bright light in the morning, warm light in the early evening for relaxation and dimmed light during the night, with these extra time slots you can set your lighting during any time of the day based on your daily routine. In addition, the natural light scene can be selected as part of one of these time slots to mimic the sun during the day. Available via an update to the Philips Hue Bridge, this expanded feature works on any sensor you already own and is expected to launch in Q3.
