Philips Hue new lamps and app features with Lightguide and Play gradient lightstrip for PC

Philips Hue is the name in smart lighting with its smart LED bulbs, light fixtures, sensors, smart switches and system. With it you set the mood with beautiful colors and light scenes, set handy timers and automations to feel safer in your environment, use the best light for your daily activities and make life easier. Philips Hue comes with a number of new smart lighting products and app features, such as the Philips Hue Lightguide lamps, Philips Hue Play gradient lightstrip for PC and the new presence automation in the Hue app.

Philips Hue Lightguide lamps
The new Philips Hue Lightguide lamps are available in three shapes: large sphere, oval and triangular. They have a signature inner tube that diffuses the light in any color, while their reflective, glossy finish should make them shine even brighter. The Lightguide lamps are designed as an eye-catcher and to make it a real showpiece, the Lightguide lamps can be combined with their own specially designed hanging cord and metal holder. The fabric wrapped cord and holder are available separately in black or white.
The vintage-style Philips Hue Filament candle lamp will be available in the White ambiance, giving you a choice of thousands of shades of dimmable warm to cool light.

Philips Hue Play gradient light strip
The new Philips Hue Play gradient light strip should add an extra dimension to gaming. The gradient lightstrips produce multiple colors of light at once, creating a color gradient that lights up with the on-screen action for a better gaming experience. The Play gradient light strip is attached to the back of your monitor with the included brackets and creates a halo effect when the monitor is placed close to a wall, thanks to the 45-degree sleeve design. The lightstrip is flexible, so it can be attached to straight or curved monitors, and is available in three different sizes to outfit your battle stations: a lightstrip suitable for single monitor setups of 24/27-inch or 32/34-inch. inches, and a longer strip designed for a three-monitor setup using 24/27-inch screens.

Collaboration Philips Hue and Corsair
To better support that experience, Philips Hue and Corsair are teaming up for a better setup. You can use Corsair iCUE to set scenes on the Philips Hue lights in the room or gaming room, syncing them with your Corsair RGB gaming peripherals for the better gaming atmosphere.

1 Philips Hue app
In order to keep the configuration simple and easy to use, the current mobile sync box app will be merged with the Hue app in Q4 2022. The merger of the Philips Hue sync app with the general Hue app means that users can enjoy their full entertainment experience. start and finish in one place. The Hue app is the new home for creating entertainment zones, setting up and controlling the sync box, or enabling features such as voice and IR control for the sync box. The mobile sync app – the separate app that controls the box – will gradually disappear from the app stores.

Philips Hue lights and Samsung Galaxy smartphone
Philips Hue makes syncing lights with music available on even more devices. Now you can immerse yourself in music by syncing your Philips Hue smart lights to your favorite songs on any Samsung Galaxy smartphone with Philips Hue + SmartThings music sync. If you have a Galaxy smartphone or tablet, use the Music Sync feature in Samsung’s SmartThings app to pair your smart bulbs. When you update the SmartThings app, SmartThings will enable Hue sync, an easy way to sync your lights and music from most streaming services on your mobile device. Scheduled for Q4 2022.

New presence automation in the Hue app
The new Philips Hue presence automation in the Hue app shows that there is always someone at home. It is designed to secure your home with light and give you peace of mind when you are away. This specialized automation turns your lights on and off automatically at times you typically use them, and in the rooms you select. You can choose which lights you want to automate and whether you want to switch them on or off continuously during the day or only when it is dark outside. Available early September 2022.
