The full-size Toyota Highlander SUV will be introduced to the European market early next year. The seven-person hybrid can already be ordered, also in Business versions.

Since 2000 Toyota has been producing the Highlander for the American, Japanese and Australian markets. The brand will soon also release the nearly 5-meter-long seven-person SUV in Europe. At the end of January 2021, it will be available in Dutch showrooms from 59,995 euros.

You get a lot for that: standard permanent All-Wheel Drive, the latest infotainment and driver assistance systems, Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 safety equipment, a luggage compartment of 865 liters – expandable to a maximum of 1,909 liters – and up to 2,000 kg braked weight for a trailer. . The 2.5 Hybrid powertrain, good for 248 hp of power, manages to reduce fuel consumption to 6.6 l / 100 km (1 in 15).

Versions

The standard equipment Style (from 62,995 euros) gets privacy glass at the rear, metallic paint, LED lighting including front fog lamps, 3-zone climate control, seats with black artificial leather and heating, an Intelligent Full Range Adaptive Cruise control with speed limiter, AWD Integrated Management System including Trail mode, blind spot monitor, rain sensor, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone exchange, Toyota Touch 2 multimedia and a digital instrument panel. The Business Edition has all this too, but with a starting price of 59,995 euros (read: a lower addition).

Additional equipment (navigation system, rear parking assistance, JBL Premium audio system with eleven speakers, etc.) can be found in the Executive version. The top trim levels are Premium and – for business drivers – Business Plus. These include a head-up display, heated rear seat and steering wheel, a 12.3-inch infotainment display and a camera function in the interior mirror.
