The Japanese Aspark has completed the last tests with its Owl. This makes the super fast EV ready for public roads. Incidentally, it will not remain the only model of Aspark.
As early as 2017, Aspark showed the Owl, an electric hypercar that was then a prototype on the IAA exhibition floor. In November last year, the electric extremist was shown to the audience of the Dubai Motor Show in production-ready form. Aspark now reports that it has completed all tests with the Owl and that the € 2.9 million plug tear nose is now really allowed on public roads. Aspark also reports that it is increasing production of the car.
Will Aspark’s model range continue to consist of one model? No, no. The Japanese do not hide the fact that there is more in the barrel. “[…] The Owl is not alone, we are already working on a second project. Details will follow in the coming weeks, “said the company.
Fast, faster, Owl
The Owl is a fully electric hypercar that has to make life difficult for cars like the Rimac C Two. The Owl has a 2,012 hp and 2,000 Nm strong electric drivetrain, which means that the 1,900-kilogram monster can shoot at a speed of 100 km / h in 1.9 seconds. The top speed is – especially for an EV – freak 400 km / h. Equally impressive is the time of just 10.6 seconds to reach a speed of 300 km / h. Thanks to a battery pack with a capacity of 64 kWh, the Owl must be able to cover 450 WLTP kilometers on a charge. Fun fact: the luggage space in the just under 4.8 meters long Owl is a sad 50 liters. Only 50 copies will be made.
