This year does not seem to be such an exciting year. Apple will not release major updates for various products in 2023.
No major updates to these Apple products in 2023
Alongside the iPhone 15, this year’s biggest announcement will be Apple’s AR/VR headset. Unfortunately, it seems that Apple spends less time developing (and updating) other products as a result.
iPad in 2023
According to Gurman, Apple will not be releasing major updates this year for the iPad, among other things. This will only change in 2024 with the arrival of the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pros with an OLED screen.
Perhaps Apple will release a new version of the regular iPad, iPad mini or iPad Air this year. But Apple will at most provide it with a small update.
Update for AirPods Max: Not this year
Gurman also has no great expectations for the AirPods for this year. This means that you should not expect a new version of the AirPods Max again this year. That does not alter the fact that the AirPods Max of the current line-up have been waiting the longest for a new version.
Small update for Apple Watch (Ultra)
The Apple Watch gets an update almost every year and is also one of the new products that Apple will release in 2023. Still, Gurman thinks that this will not be a real major update either.
Apple released the Apple Watch Ultra in September 2022. Gurman thinks Apple will release a new version with a minor update. In addition, you can of course also expect the new Apple Watch Series 9.

In addition, Gurman has mentioned another product for which Apple will not release an update in 2023. According to the Apple expert, Apple has no plans for a new Apple TV in 2023.
